I was getting ready for bed last night when I remembered that Trigun was on, so I flipped on the TV to watch the last half of it. It was the last episode, where Knives and Vash have their <insert thunderous music> FINAL SHOWDOWN. But that's not really the point.

The point is that it reminds me of last summer, which was so relaxed and easygoing. I miss that period in my life. Now, despite the fact that I still do some of the same things I did then, I find it hard to keep from being stressed out already, even though we're only halfway through the summer (Halfway through? The summer seems so short now, I remember when it was forever...damn you, Law of Accelerating Returns). I'm going to be a senior, I need to prepare for college, I need to get my ass in gear already for things I really don't want to think about just yet, but I realize that I need to.

And I guess, oddly enough, Trigun is the running symbol of last summer, when I had nothing to worry about and enjoyed my time off and didn't so much about all the things I worry about now.
